Today was my last swimming lesson as a polliwog! I got my report card (is that the right name for it?) and I passed to guppy! My brother Kenneth also passed, but my brother Brent didn't (lucky!). We went in the deep end of the pool again and went to the little pool. We did tubs at the end. I like swimming lessons! I WANT MY CAMERA! I can't wait until my camera comes in the mail! I got the SD card yesterday, but I'm still waiting for my camera. I can't wait to take pictures again! I WANT MY CAMERA! I CAN NOT WAIT!

Seven done, one more to go
Today, we did our evaluation to see if we can go to the next level for swimming lessons. If I pass, I'll be a Guppy! If I don't, I'll still be a polliwog.Towards the end, we went into the deep part of the pool. I jumped in all by myself! I also swam by myself without any floatation devices in both the 4 ft deep part and the 12 ft deep part! I like the sidestroke a lot. It's very easy for me. I can't wait until my camera comes. I want to take pictures again! I have made some pages for you to look at. I'm going to try to make more in the future. Scroll down, and you will be able to see my page of pictures I've taken of nature and a page of things about me. Be sure to look at it! Everyone who voted on the poll said that they could kind of swim. Be sure to answer the new poll! Results will be put up once the poll is closed.

Six done, two more to go + a camera
Today, I jumped in the pool twice, by myself, with almost no hesitation! If you look at the post My Trip to Williamsburg is discontinued (August, 2010, use the Blog archive), you will see that I used to HATE jumping into the pool, and that was when my dad was there to catch me. We did a saftey lesson where we would jump into the water with a life jacket on and get into a safety position. We also rode in a canoe in the swimming pool! I played Foosball instead of playing the Kinect because someone was already playing. Yesterday, I finally earned enough money to...(drum roll) BUY A NEW CAMERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been saving up to buy a new camera, and I finally earned enough to buy a new camera AND a 4GB SD card! I still have to wait for it to come in the mail, though. I can' t WAIT for it to come in.

Five done, three more to go
Today, I had my fifth swimming lesson. After the lesson, I swam the sidestroke in the little pool without any floatation devices! My goggles leak :( . Today is my brother Kenneth's birthday! He got some goggles from my mom before we went to swimming lessons, and I gave him a dollar and a card I made myself. I hope he liked it. He's going to have a pokemon party later with pokeball cakes. I have four younger brothers. They can be annoying sometimes. Brent made up a joke that goes: Did you know that you're a buty, (Kenneth's definition of a buty: a person without a stomach) and the buty ate a sandwich, and the sandwich ate a spider, and the spider ate an ant, and the ant ate a fly, and the fly ate a molecule, and the molecule ate an atom, and the atom ate a proton, and the proton ate an electron, and the electron ate a buty, which was you? That joke is VERY annoying, especially when repeated over and over and over. My brothers are named
(in order of age, from oldest to youngest) Brent, Kenneth, Neal, and Gregory.

Flyovers, Fireworks, and Fireflies
Last night, I went to something were they had airplanes fly over (it was not an air show, that will be in July) from eight o'clock to nine o'clock and at ten o'clock they had fireworks. Some of the fireworks were HUGE! We were at a different area than were the main things were taking place because it was probably boring. We went to the main area earlier and found out that the inflatable stuff cost money. We went to Arby's for dinner and went to the area where we saw the flyovers and fireworks. Somewhere between nine o'clock, to ten o'clock, my brothers and I caught fireflies. They crawled on our hands and flashed most of the time. We eventually let them go. My dad brought some of those light up bracelets. He also brought some drinks for the fireworks. I wish the B-2 flew over. I can't wait to go to King's Island sometime. My parents went by themselves recently and my mom said that White Water Canyon was fun. I once was at the bridge by Congo Falls and I got SOAKED! My back was covered in water! King's Island is fun, but Hersheypark is a little better. Compare the Kite-Eating Tree at King's Island and the Frog Hopper at Hersheypark. The Frog Hopper is much better. However, there is a water park right next to King's Island. I've never been there yet.

Four done, four more to go
Today I completed my fourth swimming lesson. It was mostly a review, and we didn't go to the smaller pool at the end, but I went there afterwards with the rest of my family. My brother switched to my teacher for swimming lessons because his class got too large. The swimming lessons are very fun. I can't wait to do more next week. I'm 45 minutes away to finishing the summer reading program. If I read that much by tomorrow, I will have finished the summer reading program in less than three weeks! I recently was asked by my Dad to make a schedule for chores. We have to finish the job before we can play.

I must have missed the poll gadget, but I found it today, so you can answer the polls again. I will post the results once the poll is closed.

Three done, five more to go
Today I completed my third swimming lesson. We mostly worked on the sidestroke and swam across the pool doing the backstroke and the front stroke. I was able to beat my brother (finally!) at the sports game they had for Kinect on party mode. Swimming is really fun. I'm having a great time here, although I still miss my friends in Maryland. Our house here is much bigger than our old one. The schools here are much easier than the ones in Maryland.

Two done, six more to go
Today, I completed my second swimming lesson. I took swimming lessons when I was much younger, but since we never swam much I forgot. I'm the oldest in the class. Yesterday, we worked on the front stroke. Today, we worked on the backstroke. The classes are not that bad. I enjoyed them. Before the lesson, I played on the X-box Kinect they had there. It was fun, although hard to control. I have an idea for a book series I want to write that I'm working on. I might preview it on this blog! I'm sorry to report that I am unable to put a weekly poll on here anymore. Hopefully Blogger will make a new poll widget sometime.

Summer Already?
I can't believe it's already summer vacation already! My school ended a week ago, but it seems like yesterday I walked nervously into the band room on my first day at my new school. I've made some great friends since I first came here, and it seems like I'm finally settling in. I miss all of my friends in Maryland, though. Recently, my camera broke. It just wouldn't let me take any pictures. It was pretty old, so I guess it was bound to break sometime. When my family came here, it was decided that all of the Calvin and Hobbes books would go in my bookshelf, which I didn't mind because I like to read Calvin and Hobbes.
