My New Home

Hello again! As you have heard (or more literary, read), I have just moved here from Maryland. Anyway, WHO HASN'T LOOKED AT MY BLOG LATELY? THERE WAS ONLY ONE REPLY TO THE LATEST POLL, AND I THINK THAT WAS MY ANSWER!!!! I HAVE DECIDED TO WRITE A LECTURE WITH TEN CHAPTERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF MY BLOG AND POLLS!!! Back to my move, I like it here, although I don't have any friends AND I miss some of my old friends. I hope to make some new friends once school starts back up in January.

It's Christmastime! (almost)

It seems like Christmastime already! I drive to my new home a week from Thursday! WHAT? I haven't told you that I'm moving yet?! Well, I'm moving. Before I continue, NO ONE VOTED IN MY LAST POLL! The Outer Banks

Right now, I'm at the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Later today I'm going to go to the beach and collect seashells. I helped make Biscuits and Gravy (although they aren't done yet). It took about seven hours to get here (two of those hours the iPhone was dead). The sunrise this morning was beautiful. A friend of mine made a pulley system in our bedroom and made dumbwaiters to send messages from bottom bunk to top bunk, or vice versa. So far, my trip has been great!

Swinging Accident

Hello! Today I attempted to hold my baby brother on my lap and swing. Failure. I fell backwards, but I was shielding him from getting scraped up with the ground. Unfortunately, I got scraped instead. FACS and PE aren't so bad after all. Next Thursday (or Friday) is the Turkey Trot for my school. We have to run a whole mile! Next week, I'll be doing cross-country in PE, so I'll be running a mile almost every school day next week! Just so you know, I'm not a good runner.

Huzzah!

I just felt like typing huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! I know that was random but I felt like doing it. Anyway, I couldn't come up with a title and I felt like typing Huzzah!. Guess what? Yesterday I accidentally went into the shower with my hair clip on (OK, I forgot to take it off before I showered). I can't believe the first quarter is over! Instead of having Cultural Enrichment and Tech Ed, I have FACS and PE.

WHAT'S GOING ON!!!

Is nobody going on my blog anymore? Nobody voted for ANYTHING on my last poll! Just so you know, the poll was on the SIDE of the page, not the TOP! I would put it on the top IF it would show the question, which it used to not. Today I figured out how to show the question and have the poll on the top (don't ask me how). I've been having a great time in middle school (except for all of the homework).

What happened?

Can you believe how time flies? It seems like the first day of school was only yesterday, and the first quarter of the school year is almost half over! The last poll surprised me because no one chose an answer. Please choose an answer this time, OK? Anyway, since I started middle school, I have lots of different classes. One of my favorites is Tech Ed. It's not like the Technology class I had in elementary school. In Tech Ed, we get to build stuff! Lately, we've been building trusses. I can't wait to test mine! Another of my favorite subjects is core, where we've been learning partsdifferent languages. I've already done Latin and Greek, but I'm sill working on French!

My Trip to Williamsburg is discontinued

Sorry if you were waiting for the next parts of My Trip to Williamsburg, but I will not write anymore parts because it happened more than two months ago. I've decided to tell you about more recent events. My neighbor let's my family use her swimming pool ANYTIME we want, and my parents force my brothers and I to jump off the diving board. It would be okay IF I DIDN'T HATE DOING IT! To tell you the truth, I'm more scared of it than I hate it. Until the end of the day after I jump off, I don't feel afraid. Then I get afraid again. The last time I went I had a ton of fun except when my dad threw me in the pool (while he was in) and brought me out of the water. After that, I had a lot of fun. This Wednesday I'm going to a swimming pool somewhere with some girls. The best part is I don't have to jump off the diving board! I can't wait!

My Trip to Williamsburg: Parts Two, Three, and Four

Today I'm going to write My Trip to Williamsburg: Parts Two, Three, and Four!
Part Two
I went to Colonial Williamsburg and found out it was more fun than I thought it was. You would think it would be like Social Studies, wouldn't you? One of my favorite parts was the Governor's Palace. I loved being gestured to when I knew what loyalists and patriots were and when I said I could play a piano. In the afternoon I went swimming in the best pool ever! Instead of steps leading into the water it had a slope! I loved it!
Part Three
I went to Colonial Williamsburg again, this time seeing stuff close to the Capitol. Went to the pool again.
Part Four
I went to a tennis court with the oldest of my brothers and it was HOT! I decided not to go anywhere else that day.

My Trip to Williamsburg: Part One

Hello! Since I went to Williamsburg, I haven't written any... WHAT!? YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT MY TRIP TO WILLIAMSBURG TWO WEEKS AGO!? Oh well, I was planning to write about my trip anyway, so I'll write about each day at Williamsburg on the same day of the week. And now... My Trip to Williamsburg: Part One! I had a three and a half hour drive to Williamsburg. Before my turn on my mom's iPhone, I found all the letters of the alphabet on signs. I spent about half of my time entertaining my baby brother with an app that you tap and it plays a note to a song. Me and the oldest of my four little brothers (ages one, three, six, and eight) take turns sitting next to my baby brother. When we finally got there, I ended up sleeping on a couch that pulled out to make a bed. End of Part One

Finally, a new post!

I'm so sorry about the wait. A lot has been going on lately. Last week, my Fantasy Pack of Silly Bandz (finally) arrived! Plus, my mom let me get one from one of the other packs she ordered! I got a jungle cat! Yesterday, I signed up for the Summer Reading Program and in just two days, I'm half the way to getting a prize (including a snowball). You also get a prize just for showing up (also including a snowball). I'm also one quarter of the way to the second prize (which also includes a snowball) and one eighth of the way to the third and final prize (which also includes, you guessed it, a snowball). Have you seen the new poll?

Today...

... I had to type and print a FINAL, color-coded, copy of my SCH speech. I (sort of) hate doing it. Today, I went on Everquest II to get a cat and a pretty blue flower. That is what the picture is. Also, today I took part in a mini-musical called A Kid's Life. I had a (mostly) great day!

Yesterday...

...I got homework. Yes, I know I get homework almost everyday, but today I got EXTRA homework. I have to type up a script for SCH. No one else in my group has to! Anyway, you may have noticed the Harry Potter quotes. One of the quotes was "Now Harry, you must know all about Muggles, tell me, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?". That was said by Arthur Weasley (or is it Arthur Weasly). Anyway, today there was no math :).

Field Day + Civilization IV =FUN (or not)

Last Thursday, my school had Field Day. In the morning, I had a (short) chorus practice while the rest of 5th grade watched The Princess and the Frog. Then, I had lunch. I then helped decorate a poster for my class. I drew Toothless from How to Train Your Dragon (though I can't believe I forgot the wings). At last, we did the physical part of Field Day. I first did scooter tag. Then, I did Quidditch (!). Meanwhile, my friends were having an argument in British accents Next came Beach Ball Volleyball, pinguard, lost, and other games. I'm NOT going to talk about an accident similar to the Quidditch Accident. The day after, three of my brothers went on a camping trip without me. I spent the rest of the day playing Civilization IV with my mom until 9:00 pm. Anyway, the results for the poll are in with all of the above as the winner.

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I can't believe it! Next week, Silly Bandz will be banned from my school! This is not fair! Out of all things, why did it have to be Silly Bandz to be banned? Some people who own Silly Bandz didn't do anything! I'm going to write a petition to ban the ban! This is only my third day owning Silly Bandz!

Silly Bandz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I got my first Silly Bandz! I got a pig, a basset hound, and a spider. At school, I traded my spider for a cat. Here's a picture. In P.E., I played Tom and Jerry. In Tom and Jerry, one person is Tom and one is Jerry. Jerry goes under the parachute, trying not to be caught by Tom, who is crawling on top of the parachute. Everyone else makes "waves" to hide Jerry. I was Tom today and caught Jerry!

My Field Trip

Sorry for not writing sooner. On Friday, I went on a field trip to plant trees. There was ticks there (but I'm sure I didn't bring any home). It was a nice day. The soil were we dug was perfect for tree planting. Unfortunately, two ticks took a ride with us back to school. The ticks are now dead. Anyway, the results of the recent poll are in. It was a tie between cats and llamas.

The Quidditch Accident

As you may have noticed, I did not say anything about yesterday's Quidditch match. When I was playing yesterday, someone on my team hit me in the face with a Quaffle! That definitely hurt. Of course, it was by accident. But still, not very fun. Anyway, tomorrow I'm going on a field trip! Also, tonight is the Enrichment Fair (where people will see Going Green).

MSAs are over!!

This morning I completed the second part of the Science MSA (Maryland State Assessment)! After we finished, we went outside for a little extra recess. We then had Physical Education and played Quidditch. The first time I played Quidditch was a couple years ago. I was the first Hufflepuff Seeker in my class and I caught the Snitch!
